Physically Disabled
From Tootsville Wiki-Wiki
In the context of computer games, we generally have input and output through very few channels.
We need to address (at least) the following physical disabilities as best possible:
Visual[edit]
- Providing large print options
- Dyslexia-friendly typefaces
- Accommodate color-blind users
- Provide sound effects and spoken (synthesized) text cues for blind users
Auditory[edit]
- Provide captions for spoken words
- Provide visual affordences for auditory cues
Mobility[edit]
- Accept input from assistive devices
- Avoid high demands on fine motor skills
- Tiny touch/click targets
- Fast movement across the page/screen
- Back-and-forth movement (distance between related buttons)
